Steam boiler plants&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1578601637253-69406895-4dc3&#8243;][vc_column_text]Superheated high-pressure steam for the\u00a0cogeneration of power and heat is\u00a0produced in the steam boiler plants from\u00a0untreated biomass. The steam boiler\u00a0plants are designed as naturalcirculation\u00a0steam boilers with a water\u00a0tube structure which, due to the correspondingly\u00a0low specific load and\u00a0low flue gas flow velocities in\u00a0all firing and boiler components, do not\u00a0require any cleaning of the heating surfaces.\u00a0This design philosophy is ultimately\u00a0the basis for low-emission combustion\u00a0but also for high combustion\u00a0efficiency with a long service life.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;3. Steam turbine&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1578601705835-4a12cf35-fbb2&#8243;][vc_column_text]A multi-stage reaction steam turbine with\u00a0the highest possible turbine efficiency was\u00a0selected as the steam turbine which is used\u00a0purely as a \u201cheating turbine\u201d. All the exhaust\u00a0steam is therefore converted into hot water for\u00a0heat extraction in the heat exchanger arranged\u00a0below (= heating condenser). The energy released\u00a0during steam expansion in the turbine drives\u00a0the turbine rotor, which transfers the energy\u00a0to the generator via the spur gear for\u00a0electricity generation. The net electricity\u00a0generated is fed into the public grid.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;4. Fabric filters&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1578601720000-1cdadd2e-de17&#8243;][vc_column_text]New standards for dust limit value in biomass-fired\u00a0plants. The dust level falls significantly below\u00a0dust limit values of 3 mg\/mN<sup>3<\/sup>\u00a0due to the use of\u00a0cutting-edge fabric filters.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;5. Heat recovery&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1578602549688-64d2a08e-cf3e&#8221;][vc_column_text]State-of-the-art heat recovery systems which\u00a0exceed efficiency levels of above 90% during the\u00a0heating period were installed in the Klagenfurt\u00a0Ost and Liebenfels Nord biomass cogeneration\u00a0plants. The technology employed extracts the latent\u00a0heat from the exhaust gas at very low temperature\u00a0and uses the absorption heat pump to\u00a0raise it to a temperature level suitable for use in\u00a0the district heating network.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;6.
